Name: Woods, Wilfred (1896-1976)
Historical Note: Wilfred Woods was born in Phillips City, Wisconsin on April 20, 1896. He worked as a laborer in a local saw mill and was a member of the Wisconsin National Guard. In 1917, he served as a private in the United States Army during World War I in the 32nd Division of the 119th Machine Gun Battalion in France and then as part of the Army Expenditionary Forces in Luxembourg. He would return to Phillips, Wisconsin and marry Florence Johnson. They had two daughters Elaine and Eunise. Woods passed away in July 1976.
