Name: Klein, Burton L.
Historical Note: Burton Lawrence Klein was from Chicago, Illinois and graduated from the University of Michigan. In 1941, he served in the Office of the Cable and Radio Censor as a Cable Censor Office in the Panama Canal Zone. He transferred to the United States Naval Reserve School in New York, New York to study navigation and would be commission as an ensign in 1944. He then would go to Fort Pierce, Florida to the Amphibious Training base and served on the USS Tolland (AKA-64) in 1944 as a Lieutenant (junior grade). He was engaged to Bluma Goldstein from New Orleans, Louisiana.
