Historical Note: Born in Rhode Island, Duncan Turner served in the 51st Brigade, 26th Division, nicknamed Yankee Division, the second division to land in France in 1917. He served in the same unit as his brother Ellsworth (1899-1987). He appears in the 1920 census, occupation chauffeur, with wife Ida.
