Name: Knox, Thomas Wallace, (1835-1896.)
Historical Note: Thomas Wallace Knox was born in Pembroke, NH on June 26, 1835. He founded an academy at Kingston, NY but left in 1860 in search of gold. He was a war correspondent for several newspapers, a traveler and the writer of books for boys. He died January 1896.
