Miller, Valentine (1945-) | Southern Illinois University Special Collections Research Center
Name: Miller, Valentine (1945-)
Historical Note: Valentine Miller, once described by her father as “almost too smartâ€, was born in Berkeley, California on November 19, 1945, to Henry Miller and his third wife Janine M. Lepska. The family lived in Partington Cove, California, until the couple divorced when the children moved with their mother to the Pacific Palisades. Henry Miller continued to be a doting father to them both, and, as soon as Val was old enough to read, there arose between them a correspondence during her school years. Valentine married young, divorced, and spent some time working in the film industry as an extra and a stand in. In 1969 she moved back to Partington Cove and lived a simple life, gardening and living in a home owned by the family. Today Valentine Miller lives on the Monterey Peninsula.
