Name: Dillow, Myron D.
Historical Note: Myron D. Dillow was born in 1932, in Dongola, Illinois. While he was attending SIUC, Myron became active in the Baptist Student Union and took part in revivals. Myron Dillow married Marjorie Louise Sheffer, with whom he had two children in August of 1951. Myron went on to receive his B.D and his PhD in 1987 from Southwest Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth, Texas. Dillow served as pastor at Trinity Baptist Church, Blytheville, Arkansas, 1965-1967; First Baptist Church, Harrisburg, IL, 1967-1970; and the University Baptist Church, Carbondale, IL, 1970-1994. Myron published a monograph "James Smith: Baptist Trailblazer" and a book "Harvest time on the Prairie: A History of Baptist in Illinois, 1796-1996."
