Historical Note: Dr. S. Morris Eames was a reknowned scholar of American Philosophy and thought and was instrumental in developing the School of Living Philosophers. Dr. S. Morris Eames was a distinguished scholar in American Philosophical thought and taught at several schools in the country like Culver/Stockton (Missouri) College, University of Missouri at Columbia, Washington University in St. Louis, and at Southern Illinois University, Carbondale. He has authored several books of critical relevance in the field of Philosophy and notable among his works are the The Philosophy of Alexander Campbell, Pragmatic Naturalism, Poems of Love and Peace. He co-authored the book Logical Methods with his wife Elizabeth Ramsden Eames who also taught at Southern Illinois University. He was also the past President of the Missouri Philosophical Association.
