Morrill, Paul H. (1912-) | Southern Illinois University Special Collections Research Center
Paul H. Morrill was the President of Park College (now Park University) from 1959-1964. During this time he became acquainted with Southern Illinois University President Delyte W. Morris. Morrill first met Morris at an ACE meeting (presumably the American Council on Education) circa 1960, and knew that Morris had graduated from Park College in 1928. Morrill then visited SIU Carbondale in the early 1960s, and later awarded Morris with an honorary degree from Park College.
Morrill became a visiting Professor of English at Southern Illinois University Carbondale in 1964. He then became Assistant to the President during the final years of Delyte Morris’s presidential tenure, which ended in 1970.
