Scope and Contents: The Robbie Lieberman Papers collection includes documents, meeting minutes, memoranda, and correspondence of the integration of Carbondale schools, 1967-1969, reports and minutes from the Carbondale Human Relations Committee, documents from the 1967 Carbondale city elections, a few clippings and articles on the history of Southern Illinois University, black student concerns at SIUC, 1962-1972, two research papers, one on Carbondale's black residents, the other an analysis of admission and retention of black and white SIUC students, newspaper clippings on the Douglas Allen "tenure and misconduct" controversy and lawsuit, and many newspaper clippings related to the Vietnamese Study Center, a focus of anti-war protests, used as a tangible symbol for student and faculty resistance.
