Biographical Note for Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. Technical Assistance and Continuing Education. : The Technical Assistance and Continuing Education program (TACE) provides performance-based continuing education services to rehabilitation organizations and personnel who serve persons with disabilities in a six state region. The program is designed to improve the job skills, provide new knowledge, and update the training of rehabilitation professionals through an integrated series of educational services that emphasize the skills necessary to a worker's effective performance.  TACE conducts continuing education workshops, seminars, conferences, and training sessions; collects and disseminates up-to-date information; and provides technical assistance and consultation to state agencies as well as public and private facilities, agencies, and organizations. The Technical Assistance and Continuing Education program is funded through a grant from the Rehabilitation Services Administration.
