Scope and Contents: The Daniel Berry letters consists of a volume of bound, typed copies of original letters from Berry to his wife Mary (Mollie) during the Civil War. The letters begin at Camp Logan in Shawneetown, Illinois, and continue to Memphis, Vicksburg, New Orleans and Helena, Arkansas. Berry describes camp life in his letters along with observations of the Vicksburg and Red River campaigns.
