The records include letters to Nina Elliott, Business Manager of the camp during the 1940s-1950s. There are items documenting the scholarship support for students attending the camp by organizations such as the Illinois Federation of Women's Clubs and the Kiwanis. Photographs in the collection document the camp's location at Giant City State Park in Makanda, Illinois and the Du Quoin State Fairgrounds in Du Quoin, Illinois. Some photographs in the collection were taken by the Kennedy Studio in Du Quoin, Il. Also included are music programs from the Southern Illinois Music Festival at Southern Illinois University Carbondale in the 1950s that feature musicians who attended the Egyptian Music Camp.
