Scope and Contents: The Center of Dewey Studies records consist of correspondence, editorial board meeting minutes, bibliographies of John Dewey writings, copies of collected writings by Dewey, and general notes from the documentary editing project to publish the works of philosopher John Dewey. The records contain communication between scholars, administrators, and consultants who worked on the Dewey Project to gather all of John Dewey's writings, scholarship, and lectures into a completed volume of his work from 1882-1953. The collected Dewey writings include editorial comments. The collection also includes initial drafts of indexes and appendices and reports from the John Dewey Society. Additionally, the collection contains brochures, posters, and pamphlets of the Center of Dewey Studies that describe its mission and publications as well as lectures that it hosted.
