Scope and Contents: This collection consists of photographs taken at John Dewey's Laboratory School, where Dewey tested his hypotheses regarding how people learn and how education can further social progress. Lander MacClintock, whose mother taught at the school, donated these photographs, which depict classroom scenes, student art and projects, dramatic scenes, and various group and individual activities.
