Biographical Note for Fontaine, Leslie T. (1889-1965) : Native of Berea, Ohio; served in the Lakeside Unit, U.S. Army Base Hospital No. 4, part of first contingent of American Expeditionary Force.  Traveled to France in August, 1917, stationed near Rouen.  Duties included attending wounded and overseeing base sanitation.  Promoted to 1st Lt. before shipping back to U.S. in July, 1919.
